This is a 1 by 1 box, going down into an octagon and then down into a regular 2 by 1 box stitch. I then made a 4 by 1 superbrick around a pencil to create space before i made a 4 by 1 corkscrew. I then again used a pencil to seperate the strings of that 4 by 1. It then went down into sideways octagons. I cut further string and finished it in a quad. t down into sideways octagons. I cut further string and finished it in a quad.
45 degree angled 1 by 1 corkscrew stitch wherein I used a piece of megalace and then circled it around two pieces of string that I initially tied together to combine two strings into 1.
I took three seperate pieces of string, that had curled, and stacked one on top of the other. The piece of silver string was sealed together with glue, but otherwise, I just stacked these without knotting or anymore glue use.
I used 45 degree angles of 1 by 1 box stitch to attach to three pieces of string that curled by themselves. Once I managed to stitch all 3 circles into that 1 box stitch, I had to find a way to make a straight 1 by 1 box stitch in the center of these 3 circles. I added more string to the finished 45 degree angled box stitch and then cut certain strings to move the box stitch into a straight line down without having to add a lot more 45 or 90 degree angles.
I started two separate 2 by 1 corkscrews. I cut the majority of string off of each and shoved them through each other like two wishbones. I then took the remaining string of each and knotted them through each other, until I could connect both and bring it down into a Chinese staircase that then becamse a 1 by 1 box stitch.
A 3 by corkscrew with orange-yellow lace that I cut string from and blended into a black base string to make the center a specialized bottle technique I figured out a month ago.
I was looking through the forum a few days ago and Fitz actually recommend someone do the same technique back in 2007. I had never seen these pictures before I made it. If you're curious, the thread is here: https://scoubidous.superforum.fr/spa/u444/375
I found it by accident, but I gotta give credit where credit is due, even if I didn't know about it before this weekend.
A 2 by 1 corkscrew that i moved into a 1 by 1 circular stitch in the center and used each two loose strings on each side to wrap clear stings in a looped pattern around 2 side strings. I then combined that 1 by 1 circle stitch by bringing through the initial oval I made and attaching it under the oval to reattach everything in a cross stitch. I then took those 8 strings and split them into circular stitches that i bent into 45 degree angles to make a bent effect and finish in a 3 by 1 superbrick.
one column of the nautilus box stitch with alternating box stitches. I then separated it into two separate triangles going down into bilateral chinese staircases that I then connected with triangulated stitches with back into nautilus-box alternating stitches, divided by a cross stitch and back into the previous configuration. Note that I flipped the initial nautilus column upside down and used my fingers to fit within the triangle-chinese staircase circular configuration.
3 by 3 twist going into 2 swirls then breaking into a swirl with bilateral cobras. I then made each side 2 by 1 superbricks and then brought them all together in another bilateral cobra and swirl combination. I then finished in a giant cobra.
4 by 1 swirl going into the specialized bottle technique of a 1 by 1 circle in the center and the rest of the strings were swirled around that 1 by 1. I then finished into a 3 by 2 quad.
For each, I could only do 20 something lines or so. For the yellow one on the far left, I think I used a chevron before I started the process all over again, but that was only after guessing many times on how to finish it.
For the second set of instructions, I tried six times and could not get it past the 20 something instruction steps, so that's why the purple one all the way on the far right looks wrong.
A quad with pentagon corners going up into a 2 by 1 superbrick and finishing with a double bottled top part. I based this design on a picture in this post:
I used the incrustation de motif stitch pictured below to make a piece where is used that stitch and then made 5 quads. I repeated the process 2 more times after that.
3 by 1 corkscrew with two Chinese staircases at the base string. Then I combined all the string to make a giant 1 by 1 circle stitch. Then two triangles going down into a 2 by 1 corkscrew and two more triangles to finish.
3 by 1 superbrick going down into two triangles. I made chinese staircases around those triangles. I then layered the remaining strings over each other to create a large 1 by 1 circle stitch. I then shoved a pencil in between the lanyard and built a 2 by 2 quad around it.
A 2 by 1 corkscrew with 2 base strings that I alternated each strings after making 2 corkscrew stitches. I then took clear blue string and wound up and down the long, alternating pieces of base string protruding on each side.
A very long cobra that I twisted into a circle, then I brought into into a two side triangle. I then took all the strings and brought them down onto each side into a 2 by 1.
A 1 by 1 shaped into a "U" glued together. I then took a green string around that "U" and brought it down into a 1 by 1 box. Then I added a string to make a 2 by 1 swirl and down into a 1 by 1 box stitch.
